Her professional experiences extend to the corporate world where she currently serves as the Director of Strategy Development for the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her past experiences include her position as the Vice-President of Enrollment Management at the historically black Allen University in Columbia, SC (2004). Before moving to Columbia, she served as the assistant to a court-appointed mediator in a historical desegregation case in Dayton, Ohio (2000).
Kristy knows that God has a particular calling on her life. She focuses her calling through teaching, training, and advocating for at-risk youth and for women’s causes. Until recently, she led youth teaching ministries at St. John AME Church where her husband was the senior pastor. She facilitates women’s discussion groups both inside and outside of the church, mentors teenage girls and offers spiritual direction to individuals as well as groups. She has a special affinity for music and served as the choir director for the Acts of Praise, one of the five choirs at St. John.
